Who We Are
PAIRnc is dedicated to providing support through education, equipment and paddling opportunities to people with disabilities who would like to paddle. One of our goals is to move people towards inclusion so they can paddle safely in other locations. We also raise money to purchase adaptive paddling equipment and to provide some financial assistance for adaptive paddling opportunities.
Events & Classes
Adaptive Experience
Fun introduction to paddling for people of all abilities. Learn the basics and get out on the water!
Adaptive Skills Class
This class provides kayak instruction for people who want to learn paddling strokes, kayak techniques and watercraft safety which could lead to inclusive paddling opportunities.
Safety & Training
Our volunteers are ACA Kayak Instructors and Trained Safety Boaters who have special training in working with people who have a variety of disabilities. We assess each participant prior to every event to determine what their goals and their abilities are so that we can provide the right equipment and number of Safety Boaters for a fun and safe paddle.
We also have a Safety Boater Program for those that would like to paddle with us and to volunteer to support our Adaptive Paddling Events.
